A couple of which were obviously not fully understood by the makers/writers of the MTVDOTD remake ... which i think was the main point of this thread.

I almost cringed when i got that "nod" in the opening commentary from LOTD as confirmation. I was thinking that it didn't really need to be said as it was so obvious.

But then i guess it was only obvious until two years ago when the remake tried and failed to convince people otherwise.
