I've been investing some time in CGI scripts. This will allow me to automate more of the site, therefore making my life a bit easier, and also allow it to become more interactive. However, its first use will hardly even be visible to anyone. All 180+ fiction contributions have been amended, taking several hours, to use a new and improved message to author facility. The previous message to author system, would fail under some browsers so it needed replacing. I'm currently working on a CGI polling system as well, among a number of other things...
