Not just no, But please God, NO! (LOL) I don't think revisiting characters is a Romero trait. After all, fans have to encounter that problem with all of his films getting re-made. I was actually unfortunate enough to encounter some people that have never scene the Original Night and Dawn of the Dead (one guy I encountered at work actually didn't know there was a previous Dawn of the Dead, poor fellow) not that I am necessarily knocking the re-makes, but, I think if we end up with a storyline like Land 1, Land 2, Land 3, then we might lose out on the power of the original storyline. Not that I would mind seeing some characters in future films, but I think that would be very un-Romero and it might lose sight of what each individual film demonstrates. I think all of his films stand on their own and should continue to do so. |
