But Trashcan Man was bitten pretty good on the hand there. Probably more than once if I remember the dialog right. But even so, Luda was basically scratched on the arm. Bite infections would spread faster via hands than fleshier parts.
From my estimations using how things went to hell overnight, I'd say they were there for several days.
