If the logic doesn't ring true within the 'reality' of the films universe then the audience isn't scared, because they can't accept what the characters are saying/doing because of a plot defect, dilated time line etcetera; if this happens too much then you have Resident Evil: Apocalypse. And that film blows more than a porn star with a gun to their head...

Q: does that mean that 89% of cancers are caused by enviroment?
